Welcome back to my blog! I hope your Monday is off to a great start. I'm going to be real here: I struggle with anxiety and constantly worrying. I often feel guilty for being so anxious because I know my worries are not a big deal. My "problems" are so little compared to what many other people face on a daily basis. There are things like wars, violence, illnesses/diseases, poverty, and so much more. God has blessed me with a wonderful life, so why should I be anxious? God has a plan for my life and his way is far better than anything I could ever make up. However, I also know that God is compassionate. He understands that I am a very flawed human. He's always there to pick me up when I feel so lost in a cloud of worry. He invites me to tell him what is going on in my life, so that he can bring healing and peace. I get tempted to think that my worries are far too small for God. He has more important things to take care of. BUT that is the devil talking. Satan wants to keep me from approaching God's throne of grace and love. So, in order to combat the devil, I wrote a prayer to ask God for his help in the midst of my anxiousness.
Father God,
I am always in awe of You. I just cannot thank You enough for Your goodness and provision in my life. You know how to shower me with blessings even though I do not come anywhere close to deserving them. I sometimes feel so worried and anxious about my life. But Your word tells me that You will always come through. You even care about birds and flowers, so why do I worry so much? You do abundantly more than all I could ask or imagine. I know you make all things work together for my good, and all I need to do is trust You. Your will is best and I must follow You. I love You, Lord and I know that being in a relationship with You, is what I was created to do. Thank You for Your love and forgiveness, and for promising me that You will never ever leave nor forsake me. Thank You for being constant and gracious to me in my confusion. I love you.
